Smooth Stag Beetle Larvae Kit

The Smooth Stag Beetle Larvae Kit provides hobbyists with live larvae of Lucanus placidus for rearing and observation through their developmental stages. These larvae are best kept in a well-ventilated enclosure with a deep, nutrient-rich, decayed hardwood substrate that remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. Ideal conditions include a temperature range of 18–24°C and moderate to high humidity maintained within the substrate. Larvae will feed on decomposing wood material and should be monitored regularly for growth and substrate condition. This kit is suited for intermediate to advanced invertebrate keepers interested in long-term beetle rearing projects. Minimal handling is recommended to avoid stress or injury. Proper setup and environmental stability are critical to successful development into adulthood.
