Reptile / Pocket Pet Surrender Form

Caliber Exotic Supply Surrender Program

Surrendering an animal is a serious decision. This program provides a controlled, welfare-first option when proper care can no longer be maintained.

All animals are evaluated before acceptance. Intake is not guaranteed and is based on available capacity, species suitability, and current care resources.

Approved animals enter a structured intake process including assessment, quarantine, and ongoing husbandry.

Ownership is permanently transferred upon surrender unless a written agreement states otherwise.

All placement decisions are made solely by Caliber Exotic Supply in the best interest of the animal.

We recognize that choosing to surrender an animal is not easy. When this decision is made responsibly, it ensures the animal receives proper care, stability, and a suitable long-term outcome. This program exists to support that transition in a structured, accountable, and welfare-focused way.

Our priority is simple, animal welfare first. This program exists to prevent neglect, reduce abandonment, and ensure responsible outcomes for both animals and the community.

We want to be very clear about what surrendering an animal to Caliber Exotic Supply means.

By choosing to surrender an animal, you are agreeing to the following,

  • This is a permanent decision, once the animal is surrendered, it cannot be returned for any reason.
  • You are giving up all ownership and rights to the animal, it will no longer be legally yours.
  • Caliber Exotic Supply becomes fully responsible for deciding what happens next, including care, medical treatment, rehoming, long term placement, or, if medically or ethically necessary, euthanasia.
  • You should not expect updates, photos, contact, visitation, or future information about the animal after surrender.
  • There is no compensation or refund for surrendered animals.
  • If any information you provide is incorrect or incomplete, Caliber Exotic Supply is not responsible for problems or disputes that result.
  • It is normal to feel emotional or uncertain, but regret does not undo this decision.

If you are unsure, overwhelmed, or not ready to make a permanent decision, do not sign yet, ask questions, take time.

By signing the surrender form, you confirm that you understand all of the above and are proceeding voluntarily.
